  • Prof. Chiara Neto - CSO

    Chiara is a physical chemist and Professor in the School of Chemistry at the University of Sydney. She is a recognised expert in interfacial flow and surface wetting. Her research focuses on functional nanostructured surfaces for sustainable technologies. As Chief Scientific Officer, Professor Chiara Neto leads Dewpoint’s ongoing research and development.

  • Dr Ming Chiu - CTO

    Dr Ming Chiu is one of the company’s founders, having completed his PhD on structured polymeric surfaces for atmospheric water capture, including the technology that underpins Dewpoint. Ming also has 10 years’ experience in surface coating on industrial protective paint and architectural paint formulation, with in-depth understanding of international standard operations.

  • Scott Morrison - CEO

    Scott brings over 20 years of coatings industry experience to Dewpoint, with the last 12 years as a technology leader in the Australasian pre-painted metal roofing market. With a passion for sustainability, Scott is motivated by the potential for Dewpoint’s innovative technology to transform the built environment globally.

  • Tibor Schwartz - Director

    Tibor is a seasoned professional with 33 years of experience in the ICT, telecom, management consulting, and fund management industries. He joined QIC Infrastructure in 2016 and currently manages A$28.9 billion in 23 infrastructure investments globally. He is also an Alternate Director for Lochard Energy, Australia's largest supplier of energy storage services, and a member of the Governance of Innovation and Technology Panel of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

    Tibor is also a member of the external advisory committee of the School of Chemistry, at the University of Sydney, advising the Head of the School on strategies to build partnerships with industry and promote the delivery of high-quality education and research.

    Tibor holds a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University, Victoria, and a Master of Science from Comenius University, Czechoslovakia

  • Kieran Jina - Director and Chair

    Kieran Jina joined as a Partner at Pacific Channel and manages the investment process and post-investment support. He takes an active role in guiding the formation, investment, development and commercialisation of technologies and companies, and empowering their teams.

    Kieran has held a range of operational, management and governance roles across medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics, agritech and clean-tech companies. Kieran commenced his career at the now ASX-listed device company, Aroa Biosurgery. Subsequently, he became Chief Operating Officer of Engender Technologies, where he led its product development planning and drove the process for the company to be strategically acquired.

    Kieran holds degrees in Master of Science (Hons) and Master of Bioscience Enterprise (Hons).

  • Prof Cather Simpson - Director

    Cather Simpson is one of New Zealand’s most highly regarded scientists and is a professor of physics and chemical sciences at the University of Auckland. Here she founded and directed The Photon Factory at the University of Auckland, a joint appointment between the physics and chemistry departments and co-founder of the Photon Factory laser lab, Engender and Orbis Diagnostics.

    Cather is a founder of three high-tech start-up businesses, including Engender Technologies, where she served as Chief Science Officer from 2011 to 2021 – growing this university spin-out startup into a company that was acquired by a large corporate.

    She recently was awarded the New Zealand Kiwinet Commercialisation Icon award in 2022 for all her leading work commercialising IP from research.
