OUR VISION

To improve the lives of people around the globe by mitigating the harmful effects of increasing temperature and water scarcity

How we’re doing it

Any surface reflects a certain percentage of the sun’s energy. The rest is absorbed or emitted to varying degrees depending on its properties.

Dewpoint’s novel paint coating both reflects and emits a very high percentage of the sun’s heat. This enables passive cooling of underlying material to sub-ambient temperatures and atmospheric water collection under a vast range of environmental conditions.

A large portion of the heat emitted passes through an ‘atmospheric window’, straight to space without being absorbed by the atmosphere - saving both your energy bill and the planet.

Why we’re doing it

June through August 2023 were the hottest three months ever recorded.

Cities experience temperatures up to 20 degrees warmer than rural areas due to the urban island heat effect.

At least half of the world’s population can expect to face water scarcity by as early as 2025.

“Our planet has just endured a season of simmering - the hottest summer on record. Climate breakdown has begun.”

— UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, 2023
